Smart Plug

You can control the iotics Smart Plug in three convenient ways:

• Using the manual ON/OFF button on the device.
• Using the Iotics mobile app from anywhere with an internet connection.
• Using voice commands through compatible voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant

No. The Smart Plug connects directly to your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and does not require an additional hub or gateway.

The Smart Plug will stop operating during a power outage. Once power is restored, it will return to its previously saved ON/OFF state.

The Smart Plug is suitable for compatible electrical appliances that operate within the specified voltage and current ratings of the device.

No. The Smart Plug is a plug-and-play device and does not require any electrical wiring.

Open the iotics app, tap the Menu (☰) icon, select Add Device, choose Smart Plug, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Yes. You can create schedules in the iotics app to automatically switch the Smart Plug ON or OFF at specified times.

Yes. Open Device Settings in the app and rename the device, room, or location as required.

Go to Device Settings > Settings > Check Update. If a newer firmware version is available, tap Update.

The Smart Plug supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only. It does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

If you want to delete an offline device, swipe left on the tile and click on delete.

On the dashboard, tap the device tile you want to remove. Open the Settings tab, select “Do you want to delete this device?”, enter “Delete” for confirmation, and press “Delete Device” to complete the process.

Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 20 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking. The device is now ready for configuration through the iotics app.

Yes. Reset the Smart Plug to Configuration Mode and configure it again using the new Wi-Fi credentials.

Open the iotics app, navigate to Settings, and complete the warranty registration process.

If your Smart Plug develops a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, contact Iotics Customer Support with your proof of purchase and product details. Our support team will guide you through the warranty claim process and assist with repair or replacement, as applicable. 

The Smart Plug operates on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Yes. The Smart Plug remembers its last ON/OFF state and restores it when power is available again.

You can use the manual ON/OFF button to control the connected appliance. App control requires an active internet connection.

Yes. Firmware updates can be downloaded and installed through the iotics app whenever new updates are available.

Open Device Settings > Settings > Check Update in the iotics app.

Yes. The Smart Plug is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Once connected to the Iotics app and linked to your Alexa or Google Home account, you can control your Smart Plug using simple voice commands, such as turning connected appliances ON or OFF.

No. The Smart Plug is designed for indoor use only and should not be exposed to rain, moisture, or extreme weather conditions. However, once connected to Wi-Fi, you can monitor and control the Smart Plug remotely from anywhere using the Iotics app. This includes turning connected appliances ON or OFF and managing schedules. 

Yes. Like most smart devices, it consumes a very small amount of standby power to maintain Wi-Fi connectivity.

Ensure the Wi-Fi router is connected to the internet, verify that the device is within Wi-Fi range, and restart the Smart Plug if necessary. If the issue persists, reconfigure the device through the iotics app.
